Recolight were established by the lighting industry in 2005 in accordance with the WEEE (Waste electrical and electronic equipment) Regulations. 

As a not for profit company, Recolight takes on its members' responsibilities to collect and recycle their lamps at end-of-life.

Recolight funded the collection and recycling of over 100 million Gas Discharge Lamps, helping to prevent nearly a third of a tonne of mercury from entering landfill.

LH Evans is part of a  dedicated nationwide network of collection points established to help make lamp recycling as simple and efficient as possible for consumers and contracters alike.
